As the heading states.

I had gotten GPS coordinates for the Paper Factory. They were either not good or accurate or just not the right ones. So I am looking for the coordinates, the right ones, or a map with a description of the entry to the Factory. Just to rest your minds somewhat. They are for certified cave divers that want to find this place and dive it...;) not for me. I am no where near qualified for that type of dive.

I am serving as the go between. Sine the coordinates I got from someone were wrong, I would like to rectify that please. We searched two hours by boat using sidescan sonar yesterday. The three divers finally did an approximate entry point and did a two hour underwater search. Finding other things but no Factory. It is possible they missed it since there is no Sign. But then again...

Any help folks would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the GPS coordinates. N 45 01.533 / W 74 49.766. Incase some of you wish to give it a go.

Stephen,

It is likely that those who know the location well will not share it with just anyone. Apparently it is a very easy place to silt out thus making it potentially quite dangerous.

Looks like you may have to keep hunting.

Yeah I gathered that. Even If I do have accurate coordinates. I would not want just anyone to dive it. The exceptions are the skilled cave divers that want to do this site.

There are other very skilled divers out there with shit loads of cave experience both in diving and in teaching...and they are not part of the GUE crowed.

The hunt is still on.

You won't find it by sidescan, theres nothing left to get a hit off of. That whole section of river is a rock filled debris field in 10' or less of vis.

Those of us who know the route follow compass bearings, runtimes on a scooter, landmarks and often plain luck. Kind of like getting directions from a farmer....turn right 3 minutes after the red barn then head east sort of directions.

It's not a dive I'd point anyone to unless I personally knew thier skills. This site is just nasty on a good day.
