I'm looking to book a trip to the Far East to one or more of the following locations: Indonesia, Micronesia (Palau, Yap, Truk) or New Guinea for late 2008 or early 2009. I'm wondering whether anyone would be interested in a group trip. I already have a couple of interested buddies, but I thought it would be nice to get a group together. The trip would likely be 4 or 6 weeks long. This is one of the places I was thinking of stopping: http://www.wakatobi.com/homepage.html

Also, does anyone have any experience diving in any of these places that they'd care to share?

A 4-6 week long trip to the exotic and mysterious Spice Islands? Must be nice to have all that time and money :D

Yes, it is ;)

But even if you don't have the $, you only live once. Why not do all the things you can while you still can?

University in 17 years, retirement...

food.

I can think of better things to spend $40k+ on. (2 people, full time sitting for a month, lost income.. 40 grand is probably an underestimate)

Did you win the lottery? Or just very successful through your own merits? ;)

You guys obviously don't know how to travel on the cheap. And I had won the lottery, you think I'd still be here?

Actualy, the travel portion would be the lowest of my costs. ;)
